Private galleries
A private gallery is a set of photos only people with its link can see — a client’s session, a trip for the family, a club’s competition entries. Visitors don’t need to sign in, and private galleries aren’t listed anywhere on your site.
Open Private galleries in your admin and click New private gallery.

Section titled “Details”Give the gallery a name and, if you like, a note. Visitors see both at the top of the gallery.
Choosing photos
Section titled “Choosing photos”There are two ways to fill a gallery, and you can mix them:
- By tag. Pick one or more tags and every photo with any of them is in the gallery — including photos you tag later. Turn on featured only to narrow that to your featured photos.
- By hand. Click photos to add them or take them out. Your hand-picked changes stick even when the tags would say otherwise, and Undo all single-photo changes clears them.
Leave the tags and “featured only” off to hand-pick every photo.
Private galleries hold photos only, not videos. A photo being in a private gallery doesn’t make it public: it only shows in your public gallery if you also feature it.
Sharing the link
Section titled “Sharing the link”Use Copy link and send it to the people it’s for. If you’ve connected your own domain, the link uses it.
- Anyone who has the link can see the gallery, so send it only to the people it’s meant for.
- Link got passed around? New link replaces it: the old link stops working straight away, and you send the new one to the people who should still have access.
- Delete removes the gallery. The photos themselves stay in your library.
